Three decades ago, Elul, the first egalitarian secular-religious Beit Midrash (house of study), was founded in Jerusalem. Today there are some hundred organizations that are trying to reclaim classic Jewish sources and make Torah study relevant for us today. *A house of study is a space in which both prayer and Torah study take place.
