What does Jewish law have to say about being transgender? What is the proper blessing before taking one's hormones? Is there a special ritual for going to the mikveh when one is transitioning gender? This session will discuss the history of transgender ritual and halacha (law), and explore some of the innovations being made by transgender Jews to adapt ancient customs for our needs.
