Art out of Poetry: A Visual Study of Yehuda Amichai's Poems

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Yehuda Amichai is considered by many to be modern Hebrew’s foremost poet. His poetry is straightforward yet laced with deep emotion, striking imagery, and allusions to Jewish texts and traditions. Together we will read a few of Yehuda Amichai’s poems and discuss them as a group. We will then use a variety of techniques such as collage, drawing, painting, and simple printmaking to create works of art inspired by the poems we have studied. We will reconvene at the end of the session to discuss the art we have made.
