Rachel Nussbaum

Rachel Nussbaum is the Rabbi and Executive Director of the Kavana Cooperative, which she co-founded in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle in 2006. On any given day, you might find Rachel talking about Jewish identity over a cup of coffee, teaching Torah, pondering next year’s budget, leading spirited prayer services, or just trying to keep her inbox below 1000 new messages! Kavana has received numerous awards and grants for its innovative approach to building Jewish community, and is part of the Jewish Emergent Network. Rachel lives in Seattle with her husband Noam and their three kids.
